How to find your ideal mouse sensitivity
How this test works
You play several short rounds. In each round your sensitivity is different, from slower to faster, in a random order. A target appears to the left or right of your view and you flick to it and click. We measure how fast you hit it and how often you miss, then suggest the cm/360° where you did best.
Why a short test is only a starting point
The test is quick, so it cannot replace hours of real play. It is useful to tell you if you are far from a comfortable range, and to give you a number to try. Your mouse, pad, grip and the game itself change how a sensitivity feels.
Tips for a useful result
- Warm up first. Do a few rounds of the aim trainer before the test.
- Use your normal mouse, pad and DPI, and turn off mouse acceleration.
- Run the test twice on different days. If both give a similar range, trust it.
- Do not chase the fastest time at any cost. If your accuracy drops a lot, the faster sensitivity is not for you.
What to do with the result
Type the suggested sensitivity into your game and play for a few days before changing it again. If you play several games, use the sensitivity converter to keep the same cm/360° everywhere, and check your eDPI with the DPI and eDPI calculator.
Common questions
Why does my cursor disappear? The page locks the cursor so you can turn without hitting the edge of the screen, just like in a shooter. Press Esc to release it.
Why do I need to enter my DPI? Because the same sensitivity feels different at different DPI. The test uses your DPI to recreate the cm/360° of each round.
